Personal sauna

My interest in infrared saunas goes back a few years to when I first read about the benefits. I was never partial to traditional saunas - they’re fine but I’d generally prefer a steam shower. I had been researching infrared saunas and finally had the chance to try them on a semi-regular basis when a pop-up infrared sauna was built into my local juice bar. I bought a trial membership of several sessions and ended up extending a couple of times. I fell in love with it immediately. It was super relaxing and a great way to take time out for myself while doing something beneficial for my body. The sauna I tried had a tv and other options but generally I just scrolled my phone or listened to a podcast (warning: it did make my phone get a bit too hot so I don’t recommend this!). I was bummed when the pop up sauna moved and have since looked into buying one for our home (I even considered purchasing the one from the pop-up when it closed). Ever since, it’s been on my wish list given the cost and space I’d need.

Enter the HigherDose Infrared Sauna Blanket.

I had seen sauna “pods” but they didn’t appeal to me very much. They seemed clunky and not super comfortable. But the sauna blanket caught my eye and, while they are not cheap, they are far less expensive than the pods or a standalone unit. They also seem very user-friendly: easy to use, clean and store. As a bonus, they are transportable so you can take them with you on the go. I ended up taking the plunge and haven’t looked back.

There are a few brands out there and, after doing some research, I ended up going with the HigherDose Infrared Sauna Blanket. Luxurious? A bit. Amazing? Definitely.

Whether you’re considering an infrared sauna blanket or have never heard of one, I can’t say enough good things about mine. So unique. So relaxing. So easy to use. I truly love it.
