The skirt of the season

Funny story about this skirt….

During a recent girls weekend in Savannah, I found myself in a local Anthropologie store with a friend. She pointed out a skirt she planned to try on and I must have made a face because she immediately commented that I didn’t like it. It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. I didn't NOT like it. I just couldn’t wrap my head around the skirt and I’m not used to such a statement piece.

We kind of laughed it off when she bought it and even moreso when she put it on to go out that night. And, wouldn’t you know….she got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on it. I mean, it was out of control. Everywhere we went, random people (both men and women!) made their opinions known. To the point that it became comical. Consensus across the board. Universal love for that skirt. We couldn’t stop laughing about how clearly wrong I had been about it.

Fast forward a couple of months and I can’t stop thinking about that skirt. I spoke with a local Anthro rep who told me she wore it to a wedding and was also showered with praise. Okay, okay - I get it. I was WRONG. It’s a great skirt!

I have since bought both the Anthropologie version as well as this Amazon dupe. Both are amazing - it’s really just a matter of your price point and what you’re comfortable spending. Buy the OG at Anthro in one color or go the budget route and grab a few in different colors at Amazon (I bought blue and black). Either way, buy it and get ready for a boatload of compliments.
