Winter skincare

Winter’s cooler temps and dry air can really take its toll on our skin. Fortunately, there are some great — and not too expensive — products to keep your skin happy and healthy until Mother Nature brings us back to warmth and humidity (that we’ll undoubtedly also complain about!).

Here are some key items to keep in your winter skincare toolkit:

Nécessaire body serum

Nécessaire hand cream with retinol

EOS medicated lip balm

And, one last recommendation. This one comes with a caveat, though. Nivea in a tin has often been compared to Creme de La Mer. I can attest that the consistency is very similar and I do love the thick, rich consistency in the winter months. The one caveat is that I look for the Nivea from Germany as it’s a slightly different consistency and is what sets this up as a potential dupe. This information can be found on the back of the tin and some Amazon sellers put it in their product post titles. It’s up to you to decide if you think German Nivea in a tin is a true La Mer dupe, but now you have the info and can check it for yourself. Nivea’s price point makes it worth the experiment, no?
