Favorite - sunscreens
I cringe at the memories of my younger years when I considered using anything above SPF 6 as too high. I was so afraid I wouldn't get a tan that I usually opted for SPF 4 and, sometimes, even just went with a tanning oil (eek!).
Now that I’m older (and wiser), I realize the benefits of SPF go above and beyond tanning and am much more responsible. At least, I try to be. I have tried a bunch of sunscreens over the years - here’s the rundown of favorites:
Vacation, Inc.
I’m proud to say I discovered this brand a few years ago and it quickly became a top fav. I absolutely love the nostalgic marketing but it’s also an awesome product. Try the Classic SPF Lotion and the Chardonnay SPF Oil for a special treat. Bonus: it smells great….they don’t call it “the world’s best smelling sunscreen” for nothing!
Saint Jane
SJ’s Luxury Sun Ritual is sheer but luxe; I use it as my foundation in the hotter months and feel so fancy.
Coola
Coola’s original face sunscreen is so fresh and light…. and soaks right in with no white cast or greasy face.
Supergoop
Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen! is smooth like a primer and colorless (tip: Trader Joe’s has an almost identical dupe for a fraction of the price)
Sun Bum Roll-on
This Sun Bum roll-on is everything! Works well, smells great and is perfect for travel (tip: also available in mineral and baby formulas)
Safety first comes easily with these finds.
