I wanted to hate this
Have you put off trying a lip oil because it sounds sticky? And heavy? And just outright kinda gross? Same.
The term itself is a turnoff, as I don’t want oily lips. I rarely will even try a balm if it appears to be the least bit tacky. And then there’s the price tag. Who can justify $40 for a lip product that’s not going to literally work miracles?
Well, now I can. I finally took the plunge and tried the now infamous Dior Lip Oil. Admittedly, I initially bought this during a 20% off sale so $32 seemed much better than the retail price. But that $32 got me hooked.
With one caveat…. I use this almost exclusively at night.
The oil itself actually isn’t as sticky as I would have guessed and the colors are….okay. But the way my lips look and feel in the morning is what sets this apart. It’s like a lip treatment that actually works to plump without any stinging or weirdness. I wake up to my lips, but much better.
If you’re on the fence about trying this, I highly recommend it. And if you’re not set on the available colors, then just go with the clear. But trust me, put this on before bed and you’ll wake up with a version of your lips that looks enhanced yet totally natural.
Maybe just wait for the next sale….
