French favorites - updated!
So, this summer I jumped on the bandwagon and tried a couple of French skincare products (ialuset cream and A313 - you can read more about them here) and immediately fell in love. I stocked up on both, even when they were barely used because I knew I wanted to keep a supply on hand.
Then I read about Cicaplast Balm B5 by La Roche-Posay. Even though it had rave reviews, “balm” turned me off because I could not get past the vision of smearing something vaseline-like on my face. But it’s not that at all. It’s more like a rich cream and the results are….well, wow.
I saw a difference the first morning after using this as a night cream. My skin looked….better! Younger, and less damaged by sun exposure. It was especially noticeable around my upper chest and clavicle where I likely missed applying SPF over many years.
And, the best part is that it’s not crazy expensive. I usually see it listed for $18.99 but have seen it as low as $13.99 on sale. You only need a pea-sized amount so the tube should last.
